Cut out comparisons!!
I made these cut outs of myself to get a glimpse of the change in me!! I can't believe the difference!! The smaller me was taken not long after surgery, so I have quite a bit of swelling still.
Hi Liz, Just wanted to say Hi on your blog instead of the boards. I also am from Gippsland. You have done a fantastic journey and it is very inspiring to me! Cheers Gabi
Liz, thanks for sharing your link on WW ! What a truly inspiring woman you are ! Love the cut out ideas ! Was thinking of doing something like this using photoshop but real cutouts are that much better ! Hope you have a fabulous 2008 ! Daisyrock
Here is another photo I found of myself before I made the changes in my life. I think I still have that blue shirt, so I should hunt it out for a photo now!!
Me at Noosa - April 2007 - Always pretending to be "Australia's Next Top Model!!!"
Quite a difference hey!!
Finishing the Christchurch Marathon - 10km walk
Not the most attractive photo, but I had worked hard!!
Waiting for Surgery
Here I am waiting for the surgeon to come in to start drawing on me.
My dear Thomas
Oh I am miserable after getting home from hospital. Everything hurts! Thomas is the best medicine!!
What a different look in skirts now!!
Quite a change from the picture on the left of me in a skirt!
November 2007
Here I am again, off to another follow up appointment with the Surgeon.
Small portion of the Front Scar
Ooohh this is where I have had so much trouble. The swelling isn't too bad in this shot, and I am holding my tummy up. I can't wait for it to be properly healed. It is improving though. I have a total of 43.5cm of scar around my body.
Scar around my back
Everytime I have shown someone my back, they gasp in shock. I don't have that same reaction, as the back scar hasn't given me any trouble. Just soreness if I move too quick or twist the wrong way. Bending and stretching is still a problem, but getting easier. Cute bum hey!!!
Day 14 since Surgery
Still wearing the tubi grip around my stomach, but starting to get there!!
Going to follow up appointment with Surgeon
My sister and parents have been a HUGE help to me and my sister loves to keep me happy! She took her job of driving me to the appointment very seriously!! She turned up wearing a badge saying "Patient Transport - Welcome Aboard"
Last hours having the drain tubes in!
This is what I had to look at for 1 week!! I was so relieved when they came out.
Almost finished the 5.5km in the Melbourne Marathon
I was so proud of myself running the whole way. Going back over this bridge near the end was hard work though!!
Photo of me taken April 2007
Unexpected visitor
It was such a surprise to see this bird outside my lounge room window. It really gave me a lift on a dreary day!
Besides keeping fit, my other love is cats! I collect a lot of things with cats on it. I try to stick to cats that are black and white just like my darling 17 year old cat Thomas!
Thomas
Here he is having a rest in the sun. He has his head resting on a little concrete cat!!
January 2005
I really didn't like this photo
August 2005
Can see some change now!
February 2006
I actually liked this photo taken on my birthday!
November 2006
Harley Girl! - May 2007
This photo really shocked me with how my face looks now. Funny how we look at ourselves everyday in the mirror but a photo tells an entirely different story!
My friend Barbara and I
It is so nice to be in proportion to others in the photo, and not feel like I take up most of the shot!
My darling Andrew
He has supported me from day one and put up with many tears, mood swings and excitements!
